Continuing Education: more than just courses
|
The term Continuing Education may give the impression that these are only courses. But there are more forms in which professionals can learn from the state-of-the-art knowledge of university researchers. In the next webinar, on 8 April from 10.00 until 11.00 o’clock, we speak with Lilian van Karnenbeek and Kor de Jong, both from the Faculty of Geosciences. We are curious how their contribution to the further development of professionals came about. Does it involve input from or co-creation with professionals? How labor-intensive is it? And how does it benefit the participants and themselves or their department? |

Corporate Social Responsibility. You hear it more and more often, but how do you do that? What if ethical issues are in conflict with each other? From the Institutions for Open Societies (IOS) platform Markets and Corporations, the educational game The societal corporation was developed to deal with these challenges in practice. With this simulation game, different scenarios with different interests can be tested in practice. On 16 January, the game was first played with students from the interdisciplinary programme Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). Are you curious about experiences with the game or interested in using it yourself in your teaching? |
