On Monday 26 May, the game is on during the UUlympics! The ultimate sports afternoon for students and staff of Utrecht University at the Olympos Sports Centre. From 12:00 to 17:00 you and your team can compete for victory and enjoy a fun, sporty day with fellow UU students. Choose from hockey, football, tennis, volleyball or dodgeball. Have you never tried a sport before, or are you a pro? Everyone is welcome to participate. |

Gerard ‘t Hooft receives Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics |
Emeritus Professor Theoretical Physics at UU and Nobel laureate Gerard ‘t Hooft has received the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics for his fundamental insights into gauge theory and the Standard Model. The Breakthrough Prizes are known as the ‘Oscars of science’ and recognise the world's top scientists. |

8 May: panel discussion about the position of women and gender diverse students |
On May 8th, WICS and WISE+ organize a panel discussion about the position of women and gender diverse students in (bachelor) education at the UU. A diverse panel will share their experiences and opinion on this topic, and answer the audience's questions. Afterwards there will be a free borrel to meet each other and chat over a drink. This panel discussion is open to everyone who is interested in this topic! (So not just women and gender diverse students.) |
