Student Bodies At University College Utrecht, three elected student bodies work to inform, support, and represent the student population across a wide range of matters relating to student life. Here’s a quick introduction to each of them:
University College Student Association (UCSA) When you arrive at UCU, you’ll automatically become part of the University College Student Association (UCSA). The UCSA is at the heart of student life, offering a mix of academic and extracurricular opportunities. From organising events to hosting competitions with other UCs, UCSA helps students find the perfect balance between academic and social life.
With 38 committees and additional teams, there’s something for everyone: whether it’s DanceCo’s dance classes, RunCo’s weekly runs, MusicCo’s open mic nights, GameCo’s board game nights, or PoliticsCo’s ChillPolitics discussions. And that’s not all – throughout the year, UCSA also hosts major events like the annual prom, the musical, the fashion show, and the beach party. Have an idea of your own? UCSA can help bring it to life!
We look forward to welcoming you to campus. Each new student brings their unique goals, talents, and interests, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll contribute to UCU. If you have any questions before Introweek, don’t hesitate to reach out via ucu.ucsa@uu.nl. For more details, visit our website or follow us on Instagram @ucsa board.
Good luck with your exams, and enjoy your summer! See you in August! The UCSA Board ‘25-’26
UC Student Council (UCSC) Welcome to UCU – an exciting journey awaits! As you settle in, we encourage you to get in touch with the University College Student Council (UCSC) whenever needed. The UCSC represents your voice, improving the liberal arts and sciences education from a student perspective and acting as a bridge to the university administration.
We’re here to support you academically, ensuring your time at UCU is fulfilling. For academic queries, feel free to contact us via Instagram (@uc.student.council), Facebook (@UC StudentCouncil), or visit our website for resources and information.
We hope you have a wonderful summer, and we look forward to seeing you soon! The UCSC Board 2025-2026
Campus Affairs Representatives (CAR) As Campus Affairs Representatives (CAR), we’re delighted to welcome you to UCU this Fall. We manage portfolios such as Housing, Security, Sustainability, and Well-being, working alongside other student boards, UCU staff, and external parties. Our role is to represent your interests on campus, whether it's offering feedback on facilities, sharing insights into UCU’s sustainability plans, or helping with any other campus-related matters.
You’ll meet us during your campus tour at Introweek and at other events throughout the week. We’re here to help, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance.
Enjoy the rest of your summer – we can’t wait to meet you! The CAR Board of ‘25-’26
