Themes of Comenius programme 2022 announced: sign up for the online walk-in consultations

The Comenius programme is a national incentive programme for educational innovation, offered by the Netherlands Initiative for Education Research (NRO). It allows teachers to bring their vision on teaching into practice. The Comenius programme offers grants for educational innovation projects to so-called Teaching Fellows (€50,000 for a one-year project, small-scale innovation), Senior Fellows (€100,000 for a two-year project, innovation within the entire degree programme) and Leadership Fellows (€500,000 for a three-year project, innovation aimed at one or several faculties, or the entire institution).

Each year, the grants within this programme focus on different themes. This year, the themes below have been selected (descriptions of themes by NRO, in Dutch only).

Within Utrecht University, a lot of work is being done on these themes, for example, remote teaching and Educate-it (theme 1); flexible education (theme 2); Community Engaged Learning, Entrepreneurship and interdisciplinarity (theme 3).

The Centre for Academic Teaching offers support in writing a grant proposal, and can also put you in contact with experts on these and other educational themes. Contact cat@uu.nl.
