Het onderwerp dat hun leven zeker zal beïnvloeden, maakt vaak echter geen deel uit van het lesprogramma: Klimaatverandering. Dat moet veranderen! Daarom zijn wij als Pathways to Sustainability trotse partner van het eerste Klimaatexamen dat in Utrecht zal plaatsvinden. Vanaf 17 mei is het examen online beschikbaar op www.klimaatexamen.nl. Als partner hebben we 10 plaatsen gereserveerd voor het fysieke examen op vrijdag 17 mei van 9.00-10.00 uur in het Academiegebouw. Ga jij de uitdaging aan en sta je te popelen om mee te doen? It is also an industry that struggles with sustainability and health issues for the low-skilled, mainly female, labour workers. This depicts the complex interaction between gender, labour, social and environmental issues. The research team in this Signature Project aims to unfold the intricacies of global value chains, hopes to raise awareness from consumers to producers, and wishes to revise the international sustainability labels used in this business. The challenges will be depicted in a theatre play that endeavours to catalyse dialogue, empower stakeholders, and envision a more sustainable agribusiness landscape. Dit kan leiden tot het versnellen van de energietransitie, bijvoorbeeld door de ontwikkeling van katalysatoren voor de efficiënte omzetting van CO2 en waterstof in duurzame brandstoffen. Hou jij je bezig met klimaatadaptatie of juist met ruimtelijke ordening? In een land waar elk beetje ruimte gebruikt wordt, zullen deze beleidsvelden elkaar steeds meer raken. Hoe kunnen we synergie benutten en voorkomen dat er ongewenste afwenteling ontstaat? Wat betekent 'water en bodem sturend' voor nu en voor de lange termijn? In onze cursus 'Ruimtelijke ordening in een veranderend klimaat' leer je over het biofysische en institutionele systeem dat kenmerkend is voor de Nederlandse ruimtedelijke ordening: * Ontwikkel je expertise in ruimtelijke ordening en planologie. * Leer klimaatadaptatiestrategieën integreren in ruimtelijke ontwikkeling van ervaren professionals. Vorig jaar zijn we hiermee gestart. Ook voor mij als docent was het heel inspirerend om met de cursisten ervaringen te bespreken en samen te reflecteren op een duurzame inrichting van Nederland in een veranderend klimaat. '𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲' 𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 Universiteiten hebben een maatschappelijke voorbeeldfunctie als aanjagers van de transitie naar een groene toekomst. Momenteel ontplooien Nederlandse Universiteiten initiatieven grotendeels onafhankelijk van elkaar. Zo gaat er draagvlak en efficiëntie verloren, wordt het wiel (te) vaak opnieuw uitgevonden, en ligt de ambitie lang niet zo hoog als die zou kunnen en moeten liggen. Vandaar dat De Jonge Akademie samen met lokale Young Academies in Nederland de Green Young Academy is gestart. Zo bundelen we de kennis en expertise van De Jonge Akademie en alle lokale Young Academies in Nederland, en vergoten we de impact van klimaatinitiatieven binnen de Nederlandse academie. Meer weten?
