Working as a student assistant in education |
Within our programmes, student assistants are regularly involved in teaching activities. The faculty greatly values the contribution of student assistants. At present, two important developments are taking place regarding this subject. There are currently fewer vacancies for student assistants, partly as a result of budget cuts.
At the same time, new principles and conditions regarding working with student assistants in education have been introduced as of period 3 of the current academic year. These are intended to strengthen the position of student assistants within education and provide guidance and protection, safeguard the quality of education, and contribute to a safe working environment. Key elements of these principles and conditions include a clear description of responsibilities and the requirement to provide student assistants with thorough instruction and training, in order to prepare them for and support them in their responsibilities. The implementation of this policy is currently being initiated by the departments. |
