With the start of the semester around the corner, the next few months will prove to be both exciting and busy as you prepare to travel to campus and start a new chapter of your life at UCU. In this newsletter, we will update you on what to expect in the coming months and a few points of action that you will need to complete. Before diving into that information, our Dean, Susan te Pas, would like to welcome you.

Message from the DeanA very warm welcome to our incoming students, we hope you will have an inspiring time with us. It is approaching the end of the Spring Semester here on campus and I see that all kinds of student-led activities are thriving once again.

The great thing about our college is that you almost always have a choice of things to participate in and to be passionate about. In my view, this is what College should be about. We hope that you will share in our innovative and open spirit and we are determined to make the best of your time at the College.

Looking ahead Summer is nearly here, and we know you have likely already started preparing for Fall. We are happy to offer help and ensure that you are up to speed on the essentials before joining us on campus. In a series of newsletters and webinars leading up to the arrival period, we will cover pressing topics such as academics, housing, practical matters, support, and wellbeing to make sure you arrive ready and well-prepared. You will also learn about the ins and outs of the UCU community, take a sneak peek at the rooms and units on campus, and meet your future classmates through virtual activities and games. Action points and reminders - Check your contact details - Our ability to contact you this summer is a vital part of helping you prepare for arrival at UCU. With that, we ask that you please log in to Studielink and check what email address you have on file. If the email you are using is from your high school or will expire for any reason, please change it to an email address that will always be accessible to you as soon as possible. Once you have checked (and updated) your email address, you can officially cross this off your to-do list and await the upcoming newsletter!
- Submitting diploma documents - A reminder to please submit your diploma documents as soon your diploma is issued. The deadline for submitting these is 31 July 2024. We strongly suggest sending your documents by express courier and sharing the tracking number with us. If you need more information, you can refer to your offer letter and the attached information sheet.
- Visa/residence permit application - For incoming students who require a visa/residence permit, an invitation to submit an application in Osiris will soon be sent to you. A reminder that the deadline to complete this application will be 15 June 2024. Please note that this application procedure also includes payment of the full tuition fee!
