| RDM Support added a unique feature to the OceanParcels code
|
| Utrecht University scientist Erik van Sebille and his colleagues developed OceanParcels, a computer program that shows how plastic, bacteria and other particles move around the ocean. To add a new feature, they needed complex algorithms. They asked RDM Support for help. The request paid off: thanks to the code, they received funding for new research.

| A new service for automatic transcription of audio and video files
|
| To transcribe recordings of interviews, you can now use the tool Amberscript. With this tool you can automatically convert audio and video files into text. The new service is launched as a pilot and will continue till September 30, 2023.

| “The Programming Café saves me hours, or even days, being stuck”

| The Programming Café is held every last Wednesday of the month between 3 and 5 p.m. at Utrecht Science Park. During this informal meet-up, researchers come together to learn more about coding and programming.

| Overleaf is a platform to support the scientific documentation and publishing process, by keeping paper in one central place. Students, faculty and staff can each write, review, collaborate or comment on a document. We ran a pilot with Overleaf this year, which we will extend into next year. Based on the pilot, we will consider multiple scenarios for support and licensing.
