In you are a full-time student and suffered study delays due to cirumstances beyond your control in 2021-2022, you can apply for financial compensation until 31 January 2023. The condition is that there are special circumstances why you were delayed, such as illness, pregnancy or a disability.

During Diversity Month, all UU students and staff can buy the book Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo for €6 and talk to each other about it. The Booker Prize-winning book is about 12 black and mostly female characters of different age, class, sexual orientation and cultural background in Britain today and in the past.

Famous Dutch language researcher Nicoline van der Sijs has created a survey with questions about home languages, school languages and vehicular languages within students' studies. It will take about half an hour to fill in, but we hope the answers will contribute to the discussion on vehicular languages in higher education.
