| Especially on the Drift, bicycles are regularly removed when they are parked there. So pay attention to where you park your bike!

The Humanities faculty offers 3 wellbeing trainers: Jannie Oosting, Maartje Postma and Maaike Wouda. They can help you with issues such as the transition to university, structuring your studies, finding a good balance between work and leisure, the final touches to your thesis. See our website for the workshops we have on offer in block 1.

Another place to go to when you want to improve your wellbeing, happiness and motivation, or if you need help improving your goals and strategies, is the Online Coaching Centre (OCC). The sessions are free and available to everyone.

For all your questions regarding your career (such as internships, possible jobs, where do your programme's graduates end up, help with applying for a job), you can turn to Team Careers Orientation. We can help you find out what you can do during your studies to explore what you would like to do after your graduation. Feel free to make an appointment, we are there to help you! Are you considering doing an internship? Then start well in advance! Preparing for an internship and making sure it is fully registered will take time (4 to 6 weeks).

Would you like to know what possibilities and opportunities you’ll have after graduating? Team Careers Orientation organises a monthly event called Your Perspective, during which recent graduates working in a certain field or within a certain theme will talk with each other and with you. Please have a look at our website for the complete annual planning for 2022-2023. Here you can also listen to podcasts of previous editions.

As a buddy, you will help refugee students navigate the UU platforms and locations, build a social network, give study tips and participate in social events organised for this group of people. Time investment is approximately 2 hours per week (and a 3-hour training to prepare for your role as a buddy).

As a Master's student, you can apply for a grant to attend a conference, congress, seminar or other type of meeting within Europe. There is a compensation available for 75 Utrecht University master students of up to €500 per person for travel, accommodation and entrance costs of a meeting in Europe between 1 October 2022 and 31 August 2023.
