Student bodies At University College Utrecht, there are three elected student bodies that work to inform, support and represent the student population in different matters related to student life. We have asked them to introduce themselves to you.
University College Student Association (UCSA) Once you start school at UCU, you will become part of the University College Student Association (UCSA). The UCSA revolves around student-life, whether that be through committees on campus, the student bar, organizing events, or hosting competitions against other UCs. It is important that we all find a work-life balance with our academics, and the UCSA strives to allow students to pursue various interests outside of the classroom. We, the board of the UCSA, help facilitate this social life on campus and create connections within the UCU community.
At the heart of the UCSA are the 38 committees and additional teams on campus. They plan activities, including DanceCo’s dance classes, RunCo’s weekly runs, MusicCo’s open mic nights, GameCo’s board game nights, PoliticsCo’s ChillPolitics discussions and many more! Throughout the year there are also exciting larger events such as the annual prom, the musical, the fashion show, and the beach party. With this great variety of activities, there is sure to be something you like. If, however, you have your own, new ideas, the UCSA can also help you make these come to life! |
|
The UCSA board also recorded a short video introducing themselves. |
We are beyond excited to be welcoming you here on campus. Every incoming student comes with their own goals, interests and talents and we cannot wait to see what you will bring to UCU! We will be meeting you all during introweek, but if you have any questions before then, please contact us via: ucu.ucsa@uu.nl. Additionally, if you want to find out more about the UCSA, please check out our website: ucu.community, or follow our general UCSA Instagram page: @ucsa.
For now, good luck with exams and enjoy your summer! See you in August :)

UC Student Council Welcome to UCU! What an exciting journey awaits you! As you settle in and get acquainted with the university, we encourage you to get into contact with the University College Student Council (UCSC) at any point! The UCSC for 2024-2025 consists of six members: Anish as Chair, Georgie as Student Assessor, Lotte as Secretary, and Kate, Altea, and Vasilije as the three Academic Affairs Officers (or AAOs). As your Student Council representatives, we are committed to improving UCU's liberal arts and sciences education from a student perspective and are here to represent your voice and act as your bridge to the university administration. We are also here to provide you with the necessary academic support at every step of the way, to ensure that your experience at UCU is fulfilling and enriching. Please feel free to contact us with any academic questions or concerns you may have on Instagram (@uc.student.council) or Facebook (@UC StudentCouncil) or visit www.ucstudentcouncil.com for relevant resources and academic information. Have a great summer and see you soon! UC Student Council 2024-2024 Campus Affairs Representatives (CAR) We, the Campus Affairs Representatives, also known as CAR, are more than happy to welcome you to our campus this fall! As CAR, we manage various portfolios, including Housing, Security, Sustainability, and Well-being. In collaboration with other parties, such as the other student boards, UCU staff (e.g., the Landlady), and UU/external staff, we work on projects for the portfolios but also represent your wants and needs on campus. Whether you have feedback on/suggestions for on-campus facilities, want insight into UCU’s sustainability plans, or simply need to rent a mouse trap, you are always welcome to come by our office hours or contact us via FB/Instagram/Email. During Introweek you’ll see us during your campus tour, but we will also be around for other events during IW and Introtime. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Looking forward to meeting you, The CAR Board of ‘24-’25
Committees and teams Activities are organised on campus throughout the year by the student bodies, committees and other teams: you can expect workshops, performances, parties, trips, and more. The UCSA will make sure you will be able to keep track of these through their weekly newsletters. Committees are always looking for new ways to organise events. To give you an impression of the kind of thing you can expect, we invite you to check out the UCSA's website ucu.community for a full list of the currently active committees and teams. On this page, you will also find the accompanying social media accounts for many of the committees. On these, you will be able to see some of the recent events, and/or performances that have taken place recently and in the past! On the UCSA website, you can also find the Events Calendar, which provides students with an overview of all the events that are taking place on any given day: ucu.community/eventscalendar You will also have the chance to meet and learn more about the committees and teams during Introweek!
