Have you had to deal with inappropriate behaviour or do you see someone else being victimised? Please speak out, for example to a tutor, lecturer or your Study Advisor. You can also turn to the Humanities contact for inappropriate behaviour, Stefan Vuurens. He will help you take the next step if necessary. Because we would really like to know what you think of the student website, we have commissioned a short survey. The information we gather will help us improve the website. Even if you don't like the site at all, we would love to hear your opinion! It only takes a few minutes!

We are looking for an adventurous storyteller! As a content creator, do you want to show the (tens of thousands of!) followers on our socials what is happening at and around UU? Do you have experience with Canva, are you fluent in English and do you know Instagram inside out? Then apply before 5 January 2023!

Get involved as a buddy for a refugee student!
|
| Join our buddy system to help refugee students feel at home at Utrecht University. In return for up to 2 hours a week, you get new experiences and maybe even a new friend! You commit to being a buddy for 1 block, but you are more than welcome to participate for several blocks! You can sign up throughout the year. If you want to sign up with a friend, you can indicate this on the form. |

On Purple Friday, our faculty coloured purple: online via our socials, the student website and the pages of the study associations, as well as at the university itself, where students and staff dressed in purple. Want to participate next year? Mark 8 December 2023 in your diaries!

Kickstart your career with a traineeship
|
On 23 January, we will organise another YourPerspective meeting with presentations from organisations offering traineeships. You can ask questions, compare traineeships and talk to our alumni. Entrance is free, but please register in advance via the YourPerspective site. We will announce the location later.

If there's something you've always wanted to learn but never got round to it, now is the time to do something about it! At Parnassos, we will start a brand new programme full of creative courses in January: from tufting to writing cabaret songs, but also presentation coaching. Register quickly!

| Critical thinking is an important academic skill. But what does it mean to you? And what exactly is critical thinking? Our researchers Vincent Crone and Merel van Goch try to find the answers to these questions. Would you like to contribute? Then fill in the questionnaire. It will take you about 10 minutes. |

A few examples of things to do: mindful meditation, getting off to a flying start with your thesis, dealing with stress and procrastination or looking for what motivates you. Curious?
