| On Tuesday 16 March 2027, the 35th edition of the OnderwijsFestival will take place: an anniversary edition! This time, we’ll be meeting at the campus of University College Utrecht to celebrate our UU education. Packed with a variety of workshops, panels, opportunities to relax and socialise, this day is guaranteed to be a source of inspiration. | From the start of the new academic year, a range of interesting new development opportunities will be organised for teachers. Start the new year, for example, with a series of workshops on generative AI, attend a session on inclusive education, guiding students’ collaboration, activating learning activities, didactic coaching or student wellbeing. More sessions are still being planned, be sure to take a look at what’s on offer now! |

In three minutes, it explains what the education model entails and what this means for our education and our students: it covers the graduate attributes, the design principles and the support available. Prestigious grant for sustainability education |
| Professors Karin Rebel and Bert Weckhuysen have been awarded the Comenius Leadership Fellow grant. With the grant, they aim to set up an educational programme that trains students who can truly drive the sustainability transition. The programme brings together science, art and practice. To achieve this, the initiators are collaborating with the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (HU) and the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht. Curious about their plans? |

| The Civinc tool helps students engage in discussion with one another on controversial or sensitive topics. As a teacher, you can post statements in the system to which students can respond anonymously. Civinc then pairs students with differing viewpoints for a discussion in an anonymous chat environment. As a teacher, you have the option to retrieve (anonymously) the most frequently used arguments and discuss them in class. Interested? |

| The Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning offers support for teachers who want to carry out research into their own teaching. This is done, for example, with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) grants. Take a different look at your lesson: discover what the video footage reveals |
| What exactly happens in your lectures when you’re teaching? Which small interventions make a difference? And how can you consciously build on what’s already going well? By working with video recordings of your own lectures or tutorial sessions, you’ll gain insight into what you do, the impact this has on your students, and where your greatest opportunities for development lie. |

Training students’ AI literacy in a pharmacy bachelor course |
| This project addresses the need to develop AI literacy among first-year pharmacy students. Research indicates that pedagogically scaffolded tasks that combine AI-use and reflection on AI-output can enhance students’ AI-literacy. This project integrates such assignments into a larger project in order to assess their impact on the students’ AI literacy. Curious how this is done? |
