Public event LERU Summer School – The future of the University
|
On Tuesday evening 5 July in the Academiegebouw, a debate about ‘The future of the University: who decides what to know and how?’ will take place. Science and expertise are under fire. We look to them for guidance, but many also distrust the political authority of expertise. Who gets to decide how we shape the future? And who decides what to know and how? These questions will be the central theme of this public event. Everybody who is interested is most welcome to attend. The debate is part of the LERU Summer School and the organisation is in the hands of the Urban Futures Studio and the Utrecht Summer School.

Among other things, Nicole Mastenbroek shared with us how, as a teacher, you can be there for students who set extremely high demands on themselves.

Lessons learned from teaching during COVID-19
This item (Dutch only) reflects on the challenges and innovations of hybrid and distance education between Spring 2020 and Spring 2022. The item builds on an article written by Senior Fellows at UU in the fall of 2020, which describes five lessons learned from the corona pandemic. In the Teaching and Learning Collection, a brief description of the findings surrounding those five lessons can be found.
